The photographic series Like Ice in the Sunshine I & II depicts fleeting moments, chequered memories and the changing identities of the self. As the sun melts a collection of popsicles we witness colors merging, others separating, some creeping away from their host to pool around the softening whole. Flaking, sloughing, gently seeping — each and every body tells a different story. As bold, joyful and quintessentially summertime as these elegant images are, they also capture a melancholy reality: bitter or sweet, all memories eventually melt into the flow of life.
